We bought a couple of these for our bikes, and they seem ideal. Solid, not too heavy. They're (necessarily) a bit big to carry around, so I think we'll end up with them in our panniers rather than attached to the frames with the supplied brackets. The locking mechanism seems good, but I guess the proof will be if our bikes don't get stolen in the next few years!
I'm not using this on a particularly expensive bike or in a very urban setting although bike thefts have occurred from the area I lock my bike. I feel more secure using this versus the chain lock I was previously using, needing a key is a bit of a pain but it is what it is.
You can never go wrong with a ABUS lock. Good size and weight. Long enough U-Lock for most purposes. Will need a cable in certain situations.
Great solid lock and convenient size. The only complaint I have it is hard to mount on your bike because of its locking-in mechanism.
I searched a lot to find a suitable lock for my bike. among them I notice the brand ABUS which is only in lock business industry, I must say it's a nice and firm lock under 100$. you probably wouldn't need anything more than that if you don't put your bike outside at night

This is the second Abus lock I got, to replace a Kryptonite that started to jam after about a year. Abus are easy to open and lock and feel sturdy. Great lock for the price.
Never leave home without a bike lock if you're riding! Great for commutes or riding around town. Easily affixes to your bike, and decent security for the price!
