  I bought these shoes both for their waterproof and large toe box features. They are perfect on both of these fronts. I run down a rural road routinely, so it isn’t as well plowed and often very slippery and wet with regular running shoes. These have pretty decent grip (although won’t help you on black ice - you need spikes for that) and there has been no trouble with wet socks while running. It has a little guard on the back of the sole to prevent water/snow from kicking onto the back of your ankle. The shoes themselves are quite comfortable and reasonably supportive (the sole cushion isn’t as supportive/cushy as my fair weather New Balance running shoes). I love the wide toebox, which is roomier than my New Balance shoes. I am prone to big toenail damage from toe boxes that are too small, so this is perfect for me.

  Puisque New Balance a discontinué le modèle Minimus GTX, j'ai dû me trouver une autre chaussure de course à pied minimaliste et résistante aux éléments. La Lone Peak All Weather est parfaite. Je les ai testées à -15 avec de simples chaussettes de course en mérinos, et j'avais les pieds bien au chaud. Je les ai aussi testées dans la neige et la neige fondante (slush) et j'ai eu les pieds bien au chaud et au sec. Super traction dans la neige et nettoyage facile. Je recommande.

  Great shoe!

  These shoes were really comfortable. I really liked the fit, but they were just a little too small for me. Seems that they run small, I recommend sizing up. I had to return them, but will be ordering them is a bigger size.

  These shoes are very comfortable, waterproof, and have good traction. I dislike the look of Altra women's shoes and wish there were options beyond pastels. . The tred also wears out quickly compared to other shoes I've had.

  Perfect for running in Montreal winters

  Montreal winters are anything but predictable . There is snow, followed by mild temp then a sudden drop in temperature. So I am constantly running on ice or snow covered or a mixture of both; aka slush. These shoes do the trick- waterproof and good grips. Ready to tackle any type of weather
