Supportive and roomy toe box
I was advised to try Altra for a roomy toe box. These fit the bill - super supportive and lots of room in the toe box. Yet to try them on the trails but I am confident they will be c omfortable.

I bought these in case we ended up with poor weather on a race day. We did. With freezing temperatures, wind, snow, and mud, these shoes kept my feet clean, dry, and warm during a 51km run in the Canadian Rockies.
The line peak 9s are more structured around the foot than the line peak 8s so they aren’t as comfortable but I feel like they will last longer. Still ove the wide toe box and zero drop ~ no blistered yet
Nice shoe! Love the lone peak line but the goretex version of this shoe definitely fits more snug. I ordered my original size and ended up returning for a different one. The shoe itself is much heavier but not in a bad way!
These shoes are a go to for us - I have a few pairs. I took them out of the box and went on a strenuous hike in the rockies (24 km). At times I was wishing for more of a heel as my calves were getting tired, but all in all a great shoe for me. At a creek crossing my fellow hikers mentioned it was slippery but I didn't feel that with the epic grip on the shoe.
Has all the product features in title.
I sized down for these from the regular lone peak 9. The size is a bit bigger and they are a little stiffer. No issue with the hell slip due to stiffness as others have mentioned.
Confo et super imperméables dans les conditions de printemps comme on connait. Super contente de mon achat.
I bought these shoes for hiking in wet muddy terrain and have been pleasantly surprised at the excellent grip and water resistance. The width of the toe box is fantastic and I have had no issues with blisters. I’ve had some sensitivity on the top of my feet where the bottom of the laces are, and feel like a bit more break-in time is required even after a few weeks of use. Overall I would recommend these shoes as the toe box width is “barefoot-like” (i. e. , my feet are not being squished in shoe-shaped shoes as opposed to foot-shaped shoes), but will say that the GoreTex branding is out of control and visible in far too many places. I used a black sharpie over all the branding as I don’t want to be a walking advertisement for the brand.
