Got this for my husband who usually wears a US11 in On and Adidas and he says they’re true to size. Great high cut, toe box wide enough for toes to splay out. Tried it out on a hike after rain — socks were not soaked and he felt secure and never once slipped on the mud.
Returned because not comfortable with higher cut (bought for my son)
Wanted something zero drop with wide toe box that is waterproof so it can stand up to commuting in Canadian winters. Time will tell on the winter usage but so far the fit and comfort of the natural foot shape is what I’ve come to expect from Altra i. e. very good.
I really want a nice wide water proof hiking boot, and I enjoy the Altra Lone Peak 9 water proof shoes, but these are just a bit narrower than the the shoes, so they were too tight width wise. Really disappointed. And they don't offer a wide size. I had to return them. Otherwise, they match Altra's usual build quality.
Excellent shoes to run or brink hike on non technical trails. Perfect to feel the ground and to hike without a heavy boot
I wanted to love these but ultimately, just too constricting for wider feet. It's really time for them to make these in wide. The Lone peak shoe in wide is a masterpiece, might as well offer the same option in an all-weather.
Very comfortable hiking boot/shoe. What the room in the toe box. Lightweight. Good ground feel.
Wide toe box & 0 drop, one of the rare boots like that and the only one for bigger feet!
Heel is normal width, toe box is wide. Perfect!
Very happy with this purchase, my lone peak 9’s are comfortable and seem to be water proof so far! I use them as daily walkers in the winter.
