  Not a lot of arch support, nice wide toe box but it is shallow (ie. rubs the top of your toes). Plenty of grip, runs pretty warm, so would make an excellent fall/winter shoe.

  I have the Timp 5, size 11. Ordered the same size in these, and they are way too big! Nice look, seems great, will most likely reorder a smaller size.

  Great runners. Waterproof and good on the ice. The tops do rub on the toes while breaking in.

  Classic altra fit, true to sixe. Have worn winter hiking on packed snow/ice, and regulalry around the city (toronto) during an unusually messy, icy, snowy winter. The grip is fantastic. The waterproofing works. Double socks needed if it's colder than -5, otherwise and excellent shoe for urban and trail wear.

  This shoe is exactly what I was looking for to use in the winter. The gortex keeps my feet warm in -15 degree weather and tbh probably even in -20. The right amount of stack height where you won't feel the cold from the ground. The grip works well on snow and ice. My only con with this shoe is that I wish that it could flex more. Even after breaking it in it feels a bit firm under foot, as I don't get signature Altra feel, feels like a regular shoe when walking on pavement. But the ego max is very comfortable I didn't feel like the foam harden in the cold. Will be using this shoe in summer back packing trips. Pro Style Grip Gortex Comfort Weight Con Not as flexible
