    I chose these this season

I tried 4 altra trail models and I chose these because they were the lightest and best for me. Unfortunately the weather has been so bad that I haven’t tested them yet so this is all I can say lol.

    Fast Trail Shoes

I usually wear the Altra TIMP5 shoes for trail running and I purchased these to try out something a bit faster. The fit on these is the same for the TIMP5 in the toe box. As for the heel, the fit is more secure than on my TIMP5 which is appreciated. The cushion is a bit less than the TIMP5 but the trade off is a faster and livelier ride on the Mont Blanc. The grip is great as you'd expect for a Vibram sole. I've never worn the plated Mont Blanc so I cannot draw comparisons to that shoe.

    Fast and agile

Fast, agile, light. My favorite with a zero drop.

    No Complaints

The sizing is true to Altra (pick your usual shoe size). Roomy throughout the shoe, mid foot nice and snug, no issues with the back of the heel for me. Just gotta wait for the snow to melt to test tracking on the trails.

    Super léger

Un peu moins de « Rocker » que la version carbon.

    Nice and light!

Just as comfy as the Mont Blanc carbon, very similar feel. Only issue is toe cap started to peel with 65km on them. And Laces are extremely long even with heel lock lacing.

    Light, cushy feeling shoes

The foam in these shoes feels pretty light and fast, compared to other Altras. Not as bouncy as other foams or road shoes, but a good option. I think the shoe may fit a bit big, I got my usual size 9. 5 but my feet move around in them a lot. I'm going to try a 1/2 size down. I did wear the 9. 5's on a 2 hr training run out of the box with no issues, but got some bad blisters after a 60km with mostly downhill at the end. I wish there were more fun colour options. Overall I like these shoes and would recommend them. A touch more cushion than the Wild's and feel a bit bouncier. There is not a lot of cushion in the tongue/upper, but just enough they are still comfortable. I really find I can't wear shoes with a thin tongue, but these are ok.

    Great Trail Running Shoe

Worn these right out of the box, no issues!

    Cushy cushy

I have the carbons as well, these have more cushion, little bit warmer( but to be fair I got black shoes so that was silly) Fit is a smidge tighter than the carbons but true to size. I think I should be able to get about 600-800km out of them
