  Much better chamois

  I wanted a pair of Castelli bibs to match all my other Castelli accessories like arm warmers etc. I made sure to size one up compared to other brands because I'd read that Castelli bibs run small. The most noticable difference is the chamois and how much thicker it is compared to some other chamois pads even within Castelli. If you're looking for the substantial chamois intended for longer rides, then these are the bib shorts for you. I was initially going to go for the Endurance 3 bibs which have the same chamois but opted for the Espresso ones because the stitching is less overall and more seamless.

  Better everyday bib than the Endurance 4

  I tried the Endurance 4 first, but it felt too tight and race-oriented for how I actually ride. Switched to the Espresso 2 and it's been great since, it still feels snug but way more comfortable. It holds up fine even on longer days in the saddle. The quality feels premium too. If you want one bib that works for both quick rides and all-day trips, this is it.

  Love the fit

  Compared to the Castelli Competizone 2 bib short (another great bib by Castelli) the materiel of the Expresso 2 feels softer and more luxurious. The pad is thicker on the Espresso and the straps are better. May feels a little bite warmer than the Comptizone.

  Formidable cuissard

  Absolument formidable cuissard, juste le bon équilibre entre compression et confort, il donne le goût de rouler toute la journée. Attention comme toujours avec Castelli, c’est un peu plus petit que les tailles d’autres marques.

  The experience purchasing through Altitude was smooth and shipping was quicker than expected. The bib shorts are okay. The chamois is great but the fabric/finish of the seams, edges, and overall form seem poorly done for this price point.
