  Great design but not lightweight

  Great design but these are cushioned so would not call them lightweight. Had been hoping for thinner socks that are truly lightweight

  Good Socks for Trail Running

  These socks fit less tightly than other Darn Tough running socks and are more comparable to Smartwool in overall circumference. In particular, they feel less constrictive around the toes, which I appreciate with my wider forefoot. They also have some cushioning around the toe area, so keep that in mind depending on how snugly your trail shoes fit. I wear them on their own with my size 10. 5 Wide La Sportiva Bushidos and have had no issues. For multi-day hikes in my size 11. 5 Norda 001s, I pair them with Injinji toe sock liners to accommodate foot swelling over long distances. That combination has worked very well for me.
