  Small but mighty

  Picked up this backpack during the boxing week sales and am very happy with it. It does fit my regular sized 15" laptop like a tight fitting glove, the corners on the zipper side fit very snug so hopefully that doesn't damage the zipper over time. The bag opens up nearly completely for the main compartment and that was the biggest selling feature for me. The G1000 material is great and with my other Fjallraven gear will last with regular care and rewaxing. I don't think I'd be impressed if I paid full price for such a basic and small bag, but it works perfectly for my needs - commuting and light travel - and should last a very long time. It's exactly what it claims to be for both size and utility so it's up to you whether it's worth the price or not. I will say it's a worthwhile upgrade over the regular kanken in both style and utility.

  Kanken true to form

  The Kanken is a great daily backpack or even a nice travel bag. Perfectly sized so you can't overload it; not that you'd want to as this bag is not made for hauling gear. It's a nice little day trip pack with a laptop sleeve. A large 15 inch laptop will be a snug fit, but it's padded and secure.

  It’s the perfect size for a personal item on flights. Small enough to fit under the seat but big enough to fit what you need to keep nearby. The side pockets for water bottles could be more spacious.

  Minimal but perfect

  I was looking for a bag without a ton of compartments. This one has just the right amount without me looking through every pocket to find what I’m looking for. It fits my 13’ MacBook. My lunch and a 40oz hydroflask on the inside perfect. With a bit of leftover room for a sweater. On the side I keep a yeti coffee cup. It’s exactly what I need and a beautiful colour.
