  Awesome shorts. Love the pocket placement which I was first exposed to with the equivalent pants. Bear in mind the fabric doesn’t have a ton of give but does eventually relax some.

  Excellent hiking shorts

  We did the Rockies with these and they performed extremely well. Had good weather (cool mornings and warm afternoons) and they breath well and dry quickly. The number of deep pockets works well for day hikes. Also held up well with the sitting on some sharper rocks…

  Great travel shorts

  These aren't just great for hiking, but also travel as they pack down really small. Very comfortable, and good breathability. Since it's Fjallraven's Vidda line, I have no worries about durability.

  W-A-Y too small. . .

  While the material and design quality is apparent, these 34" waist shorts were snug around the waist and too tight around the legs, They became uncomfortable when I was sitting down. Normally, I comfortably wear 33" and only upsized because of the reviews.

  I’m finishing up a trip on the JMT in California. I have used these short every day for weeks and have been very impressed with quality and durability. I did move up one size from my normal waste size for a more comfortable fit

  Too small and no stretch

  Too small and no forgiveness with no stretch. I couldn’t size up as was out of stock. Lots of pockets to store things and light material if that is what you are looking for. Not sure why sizing is so different with some styles of their shorts and pants.

  Excellent cargo shorts

  These shorts are very well made. The cargo pockets are useful and the snap closures seem reliable and much quieter than Velcro closures. There are no back pockets which I prefer and the material seems extremely robust. I had read other reviews stating they fit small so size up but also mentioning that when you do size up to get the right fit through the legs and backside the waist ends up a little big. I normally take a 32 so ordered a 34 and indeed the fit is perfect. Yes there is a bit extra room in the waist but I always wear a belt so it is not an issue at all. I would not only recommend these shorts but may well buy another pair in a different colour - they are that good. Very expensive but if you can get them on sale go for it.

  great shorts, replaces all the other brands I own

  Good stretch, pockets work well, sizing is accurate. I use them a lot under motorcycle offroad pants and are excellent. No binding or pinching and good flexibility. Also great for every day or active use.
