  Terrible Pocket Design

  I wanted to like these so much but I honestly think the pocket design on these is absolutely terrible. On the first day of wearing these my wallet flew out of my pocket when I had a minor slip on some tidal rocks. Then both my phone and airpods fell out when I got into my car. There are no sub pockets and no structure. You just end up with whatever you have in your pockets sloshing around around these big unstructured pockets. My phone often ends up lying horizontally which is very awkward. The D-ring is way too loose. My keys and pocket knife dangle in a way that is completely unusable. This is my third pair of pants or shorts from Gramicci. I have a pair of the Loose Tapered Ridge pants and El Cap pants. I really appreciate the quality of materials, construction and freedom of movement. The El Cap pants have somewhat similar rear pockets to the Gadget and more conventional front pockets. On the rear pockets of the El Cap design, Gramicci at least had the foresight to put velcro on them to provide some form of closure. A way to improve this design would be to add some sub pockets (e. g. for phone and small items) inside these large pockets and velcro or snaps for some form of closure mechanism. Fjallraven provides sub pockets in a lot of their shorts and it is very useful but as is I will definitely not be purchasing this model again.

  Love the Gramicci brand and love these shorts! Wish I had bought in more colours when they were on sale. I'm usually a Medium in Gramicci pants, but the size Small in the shorts fit better. . . not too baggy, nor too slim. Will be sporting them all summer.

  True to size but can fit smaller or larger due to the unique waist belt system. I have almost all the colours of these and love them all. Altitude was also great with shipping and communication so that was a plus. Highly recommended especially if you are a Canadian buyer.

  Great fit, great material, great pockets. My new go to summer shorts for everything. Love how much I can carry in the pockets without feeling too much like a pack mule. Fit is true to size to roomy because of the elasticized waist. Definitely would buy again.

  Nice rugged fabric. Huge pockets hold an unbelievable amount of stuff. Slightly slimmer in the leg than other gramicci shorts but by no means a slim fit.
