I purchased this Gregory Maya 25L for day-hiking, and it turned out great. Considering my own preferences to take camera when hiking, this backpack provides comfort on shoulders. It has enough room for extra layers, food, and water. I use it more often than the 34L backpack in the day hiking now. Recommend it.
This backpack turned out to be the ideal size and weight, and it’s impressively practical. I used it both as a carry-on while traveling and for day hikes, and it handled everything I needed with ease.
What a treat this backpack is! I filled it up with all my usual hiking gear, including a full 2L hydropack, along with safety gear, a change of dry winter clothes, snacks, etc - hoisted it onto my back. When I secured the hip belt, the weight of the pack shifted, and I swear, it felt as if it wasn't even there! All I can say is "Wow!" My only concern, since I'm just between regular-size and plus-size, was that the hip belt and sternum straps might not be long enough around my winter jacket - which is pretty bulky - however everything fit just fine! Still, make sure you have a pack that fits around your bulkiest hiking layers - Gregory makes lots of different styles (20L - 68L) for Plus size women! Yay!
We got this for my wife for a bit space over her previous 18L Gregory pack, but while still remaining below 25L to pass as a personal item on flight on an upcoming trip. Have yet to use it yet, but she tried it at home and the fit was really good. Her 3L water bladder worked perfectly in the pouch as well. She's looking forward to using it shortly.
Je magasinais depuis quelque temps pour l’achat d’un sac à dos de 1 jour. J’ai trouvé celui-ci avec les caractéristiques que je cherchais: 2 grandes poches sur les hanches, une ouverture sur le devant afin d’y mettre des objets facilement accessibles et le dos bien ventilé sans armature. Cédule bémol, sans prix un peu élevé pour un 25 litres
Really like it. Good size for a long day pack, nice waist strap with big enough pockets for phone etc. and found the fit very comfortable.
Je l’ai acheté 2 fois: pour moi et ma fille. Il sera parfait pour une randonnée d’une journée. Il est pratique, plusieurs pochettes et j’apprécie qu’il y ait 2 espaces pour des gourdes.
Bon volume. Parfait pour une journée en voyage.
Pack is comfortable, the zippers work smoothly, and it’s a good size for a longish day hike. What I like most is the separate compartment for a hydration bladder. love it.
The design and features looked impressive, so I thought I would keep it. However, when I filled it with gear and tried it on, the back bent and didn’t provide the necessary support. This made it uncomfortable to wear for long hikes. I will return it.
