  Tried others but went back to the best one

  My husband tried a different pair of hikers that were lighter thinking they would replace these but after wearing them for one hiking trip, here we are, back to purchasing these. Yes they are pricey but he had his last pair for nearly 5 seasons of extreme wear, so worth it for him. Went with the brown for a more subtle look

  A bit loose in the heel pocket. Otherwise a great classic hiking boot. But had to return I would have hot spots.

  One of the best boots I’ve used in law enforcement. Traction and insulation is spot on. They also look great.

  Excellent heady duty boots

  Boots are built well and will hold up to a lot of use. I had to get a half size larger than my regular boot size. I recommend the brown version instead of the black since the black version has a lot of chemical smell. Even though the boots are stiff they are still flexible enough to drive in. They are excellent for rough terrain and going up and down through steep areas.

  Commit to breaking them in

  These are some serious boots they took about 60km to start breaking in. Throughout the break in period I had awful blisters. But now they are very comfortable. I did get them fairly damp and started walking in them to try and improve the break in period. So if you're up for that definitely get these. I have had other hanwag boots in the past. The Special Forces and the Trapper.

  Worth the money

  This is the second pair my partner bought he works in the bush and got his first pair of corked . He loved them so much that he bought the second pair just for hiking, They fit true to size and the quality is amazing!

  HanWag Boots

  I’ve been in Law Enforcement for 14 years, had plenty of boots throughout my career, Lowa, Danner, Bates, SWAT, Rocky, however I was never satisfied due to my feet size, 12. 5. AltitudeSport had a special where I couldn’t resist so I bought a HanWag pair that was suggested by one of my RCMP peer!!! WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! I always had ankle issues when I was playing sports, these boots supports everything!! You feel like Superman!

  Great heavy duty boot. I am normally a size 13. In hanwag I am a size 12. 5. Will require some breaking in. But once done extremely comfortable. The rubber rand will ensure durability for years.
