    Very big feet!

Purchased for whitewater tandem canoeing. I ordered a large and x-large. At 6’1, 36 waist, 34 inseam the large fit me best. The XL would work but were roomy. The issue was the feet, which are listed at 10-13. I have size 13 feet and there was LOTS of room. So much so that the bootie bunched up in my water shoes, and I would have had to upsize my shoes to a 14. I appreciate that these pants are designed to be roomy and allow for an inner warm sock and then most people will use a neoprene bootie to protect the foot of the pants. In the end there was going to be a crazy amount of material that I was trying to get into my water shoes. With size 13 feet I’m used to things not being big enough, but this was excessive. Compared to other brands this did not fit as well. Another issue was the Velcro to secure the seal at the waist was quite narrow. Other brands use a wider Velcro belt which in my opinion improves the probability of getting a seal. Given all that, I had other better options so I returned them both. It runs true to size and would be great if you had size 14+ feet. But I don’t.

    Will do the job.

Bought this in March and so only had the bath tub to test it out for leaks. There were none. Other reviews say the item fits small but I can’t really say that. I’m able to kneel and squat and move comfortably. I do wish the adjustable Velcro belt straps were a little longer but that’s my only‘critique’.

    Surge Dry Pant

Look to be well made but sizing is WAY off. I ordered XL based on the website recommendations. I am 6ft 220lb. I tried them on with gym shorts. They are short in the inseam, right in the thigh and feet would fit size 14+. No way I could paddle comfortably in these let alone layer underneath. Very disappointed. NRS are built the same way… the search continues.

    Very impressed with the quality

I have a lot of Level Six gear for kayaking and canoeing. Really appreciate the build quality of these. The reinforced areas make sense and the built in socks seem to be the same quality as those on my Level Six dry suit.

    Dry pants

My husband loves his new dry pants. He paddles year round so having these dry pants has made all the difference for him.
