  I've owned 3x pairs of the Camino GTX, 2x of the older generation and 1x of the newer generation seen for sale here. All 3 pairs had issues with delamination. The older generation the rand would start to peel off nearly immediately. The new generation the sole would delaminate within a few months of hard use. I never bothered to try resoling them, but I would normally wear out the vibram sole in about 2 years. The leather exterior is not waterproof compared to competitors boots and my feet would be wet after a submersion or longer walk in wet forest. I certainly tried to waterproof them with different products but nothing worked well. The fit is amazing and I put up with these defects/issues for a while because of that. I have now had enough of the delaminations, and I have tried a competitor boots out for this go around.

  The right boots for a heavy pack

  These are the perfect boots for a regular width foot while carrying a heavy pack. Loads of support and a firm sole, but not so stiff that it feels uncomfortable. Out of the box comfort, no blisters. Feeling better and better with more and more miles. Will use them for longer day hikes too - think they will be just right for ambitious day pursuits

  Excellent produit, la semelle est juste bien rigide mais trop. Ça fait plusieurs produits Lowa que j'achète au fil des ans et je n'ai pas été déçu à date.

  Les bottes sont très confortable, tout en offrant un excellent support lors des randonnées en montagne avec sac à dos. C’est ma deuxième paire, donc produit que j’apprécie bcp et utilise 3 saisons par année.

  Excellente botte, malgré le prix

  Oui, cette botte est dispendieuse, mais elle est parfaite. Elle offre une stabilité et une traction remarquables, elle est imperméable et on s'y sent confortable, même après une randonnée de 8+ heures. Je l'ai utilisé dans la neige, en-dessous de zéro avec un bas de merino et je n'ai jamais eu froid.

  This boot is not light by the numbers but it feels like a lighter nimbler boot than a lot of other full leather.

  Comfortable and durable

  Comfortable and durable. I do hike on rough terrain and the boots feel up to the task. I had concern about the width and ordered a half size up – it fits perfect. The sole provides great grip and sturdy enough to support my weight on the rough uneven terrain. I’m very happy with the Lowa lacing system that distributes pressure evenly and provides all day comfort. The boots are on the heavy side but provide outstanding stability and protection and, if you got used to them, you won’t be disappointed.
