not the Mizunos I used to love

I used to love Mizuno shoes because of the cushioning (I had plantar fasciitis). The last 3 pairs I have purchased lack that cushioning. I am returning the Wave Rider GTX2 because they just don't provide the cushioning that I expect (I thought I'd give them one last chance). I guess Mizuno has changed their philosophy. If anyone is interested, the Asics Gel-Cumulus is now my go-to. . .

Would Be Great for Someone Else

I used to be a serious runner. But I've had two back surgeries and may need toe surgery. I no longer run, but I do do Nordic Pole Walking. For me these are too narrow in the toe box, not supportive enough at the heel, and the heel-to-toe drop is hard on my spine. That said, these would have been great for me a few years ago. And they'd be so now for other runners.

    Another great Wave Rider. .

Been only buying Mizuno wave riders for 6 years now and are perfect for my narrow feet and offer great support for ankylosing spondiliutius. Love the extra cushion on new sole but honestly hate how there compared to the previous version have a large tab/pull at rear ankle, the hem of my pants gets stuck on it constantly otherwise great shoe!
