  unlike many piezo-igniters, this works on liquid fuel stoves. I like to keep one with my stove in case I don't bring matches or a lighter with me.

  All weather and a quick light

  I've never used a magnesium strike lighter before and was a bit worried about how difficult the technique would be to master. I got the hang of it in less than a minute. Important to know that there is a black film you have to scrape off on the rod before sparks will be able to ignite. There were no instructions so I found this out from a youtube video. The magnet connecting the tools together is a nice touch but is not strong so usually disconnects while in my bag.

  I haven’t tested it out on a trip yet, but I like the design (especially how the two pieces attach magnetically).
