J'avais une Elixir 2 il y a quelques année que j'adorais et je l'avais vendu pour me procurer une tente ultra light. J'ai vite compris que l'ultra light ne veut pas dire ultra résistante et ultra waterproof. Cette tente elixir, qui est certes un peu plus lourde, sera parfaite du canot/car-camping et je sais que je resterai au sec à l'intérieur!

Bien conçue avec des matériaux résistants. Se monte facilement. Les vestibules gagneraient à être un peu plus spacieux tel qu’ils étaient sur la version précédente du même modèle.

This tent has a high quality fit and finish throughout! The stuff sack is roomy and that is a big plus, as is the. Included footprint. Love the color and the pleasant light it gives the interior. Very pleased with this purchase!

This tent withstood some major winds and rainstorms on our Tatshenshini raft trip. I was advised to seamseal the tent again prior to the trip. I taped the outside only, which I’m glad I did because the inside factory taped areas started peeling off. The side alcoves provided lots of space for dry bags etc. The poles are awkward to set up for one person. It feels as though the poles could snap the way it was designed. There is nearly enough room to have the foot print, tent and fly attached to the pole ends. There’s room for improvement but it didn’t let us down.

MSR is a trusted brand for quality and durability and this tent does not disappoint. Outright it is more expensive than competing 3-person tents, however I believe this one should hold up well given the quality of the parts used. We use it for both back-country and car camping and it is perfect for 2 people and several bags. 3 adults would probably be too close for comfort. Overall highly recommended.

This tent can definitely be compressed beyond the sac that it comes with. The setup is fantastic. That ability to setup the tent with just the rainfly & the footprint first is ideal in rain as you can just put the tent boding inside and set it up underneath the fly while it’s raining, prevent the rain from soaking the tent body.
