  I really like these shoes, super comfortable and great grip. Good on decent, steep hills on trail and off. Feet feel really locked in. Stack is surprisingly high, but in a good way. I did buy a half size up based on reviews and they fit perfect. I'll probably buy this version again before they change it and muck it up.

  This particular style is a repeat purchase as it consistently delivers fit, feel, cushion and context with the ground. Third pair and no signs of stopping.

  Wide and soft

  While the stack height on these is a bit to get used to and not well suited for the most technical terrain, all that midsole does provide amazing cushioning - I really appreciated it when the last kilometer of a local 50k was on pavement. This does come at the cost of some support; if you have high arches, you may want to use a structured insole as the softness of the shoe doesn't really give much structure underfoot. The outsole provides decent grip even in muddy conditions, and the toe box is wide enough that I didn't even need to order a specific "wide" shoe (which is unusual; I typically take a men's 2E). The second toe of my right foot is a smidge longer than my big toe and gets pretty irritated when running a lot of hills, but that's a morphology issue that won't affect most people. Lacing is simple and secure, no other blister issues - I may just have to order another pair!

  True to Size

  I ordered these trail shoes because I’m familiar with New Balance road shoes. These fit my foot well, are true to size with good cushion and support. Much lighter than hiking boots!

  These shoes fit me great. My favourite on and off trail runner. I like them so much that I got a 3rd pair for work. I tried wearing the 1080 Fresh Foam for work but they were too soft in the heel. The Fresh Foam X has a slightly firmer feel. I’ll definitely get another pair in the future.
