Great boot for cold water paddling
Used these boots for an 8 day trip in cold water. Worked great even on 2 km portage. They do get damp inside from sweat but I found wearing a sock inside helped with that.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for! They are well made, true to size, comfortable and keep my feet warm in BC waters.
Difficile de trouver mieux pour les sorties de kayak en eau froide: ces bottes sont confortables, hautes, d’excellente fabrication, ce qui en fait la botte idéale. À prendre une pointure plus grande pour bas et chausson de dry suit.
These were much too small and narrow, had to return.
purchased to wear over drysuit , with 2 pair medium wool socks , perfect fit ( i wear a 9. 5D street shoe). heel pull tab could be longer.
These boots are great for fishing. Just make sure you don't stand in the water for several hours at a time, as they start to keep.
Really like these boots for canoe tripping. Waterproof, warm, and very light. But there is no suport in the sole or the ankle. The quick laces are great and the soft rubber around the calf helps buy you a couple of seconds if you end up with water above your boot. The laces have a little pocket to store them near your shin which is a cool feature. Twice I dropped into my knee and the boot stayed on. Both times I got wet but it took a few seconds for the water to get in. Luckily they dry out quickly in the sun. The sole is thin rubber. While it's very grippy, carrying a pack and canoe can make it challenging or painful if you prefer support. I added an insole that helped. Don't count on this to compare to a hiker or even a Keen Newport. The lack of ankle support isn't a big deal but worth noting. If they included a a strap or a couple of features from their work boots it would be a much more complete package. Size up one size. I usually take a 9 and went with a 10 which allowed room a warm sock and insole.
These boots are very comfortable. They have good grip in wet conditions. I were these over my drysuit during the winter season. Normally I wear a women's size 8. 5, so at first I ordered a size 8 mens. These turned out to be too tight with my drysuit and socks. I chatted with the company and was able to exchange the boots for a larger size and still get the sale price. The process was easy and customer service was excellent. Note that these boots do get wet, are not waterproof and take time to dry.
The NRS Boundary Boots are very well made, having a sole and upper that I would have trusted to protect me during 5km of portages per day for 8 days during my upcoming trip BUT . . . they were just slightly too snug at the widest part. The space for the heel was acceptable but relatively big. I've ended up buying the Level Six Gulf boot (same size) as that boot was larger overall and, with the addition of a substantial insole fits my foot better. Having only worn these two boots in my house, I believe that the NRS Boundary boot is the better product, especially for portaging, if it fits your foot.
