i been trying all kind of mitt, gloves layers but i am literally always cold of too warm. this is a perfect combination. I used it for a 3 days hike this January and it was perfection! the liner is soft and comfortable. the fact that you can release your fingers is genius. theres also a pocket for hot pad if needed. the hardshell over the liner is perfect for summit. or when your liner is wet and you are cold. the liner does dry quickly so this is a plus!
Beaucoup trop grand et mitaine intérieure qui roule je ne peux donner ceci en cadeau
Bought these Mitts for back country ise, they're warm, and very versatile. The fit is great and materials seem solid. Fit seems true to size.
Elles sont pratiques surtout pour moi qui a chaud aux mains et transpire On peut faire secher l’interieur juste en tirant la mitaine interieur
We use these for cross country skiing. Having an outer layer works well, as if our hands get too warm, we simply remove the outer layer and ski with the liners on. Not only that, but if the liners wear out, the Canada Olympic mitts are a great substitute.
The insert mitten is great for keeping your hands warm without too much bulk. The handwarmer pockets are a nice touch. I haven't had an opportunity to try out the full mitt in cold temperatures but it definitely seems like these will keep your hands warm. One minor con about the inserts is that any swinging/clapping motions caused the magnet to hit the top side of my fingers.
I bought these because I wanted a warmer pair of mittens and I liked the concept of the internal fleece mitten, effectively getting two very functional gloves in one. These gloves have a fully synthetic shell which is great for durability and water resistance. The palm has a lightly rubberized feel for decent grip. The inner mitten has a very thick fleece which is quite comfortable and warm and I like how all the fingers are together in one hole and how the fingers + thumb shells can flip open. Unfortunately both the fleece inner mitten and the shell are too large for me even in size S (other OR gloves fit well for me in this size). There is way too much empty space in the mitten area, making it hard to keep warm and unnecessarily bukly for grabbing things. The fleece of the inner mitten being quite thick also makes it especially large when you flip the finger/thumb shells open and the magnets aren't that strong so can be hard to get them to stick. I also would have preferred if the velcro on the inner glove were optional / had some way to cover the pads, since I want to easily add/remove my hand + inner glove to/from the shell, but unfortunately once you put the inner glove into the shell, it lines up with the shell's velcro pad and sticks. Un-sticking the velcro is not that easy and you can just yank the inner glove out each time but pretty sure the velcro pad areas of the gloves will get damaged quickly. I also would have liked the lanyard to be removable and shorter. As it is right now, it's quite large, not removable, and sticks to the velcro pads. Despite some of the drawbacks above, these are a very nice pair of gloves with a lot of functionality, but are built for large hands.
I’ve always liked OR gloves and these are no exception. Fit is true to size with room of course for a liner, in my case Arcteryx Rho in medium.
J’aimais bien la mitaine en polar qui peut s’enlever. Par contre, la mitaine est large et aussi, en pliant la main à l’intérieur, mes doigts s’inséraient dans l’ouverture de la mitaine sur la paume. Je les ai retournées.
