Very warm but does not work if you have long fingers

I have a narrow hand (size XS) but very long fingers, so it is very tricky to find a glove / mitt that works for me. I often take an XL in gloves for the length, but as the largest size available was only a large, I took the chance to see if they might fit me. Unfortunately, the length in the fingers was quite short (I think an XL might have still been too short. These gloves were incredibly warm and other than the short finger lengths, they were also very comfortable. So if you have short, stubby fingers and are looking for warm gloves / mitts, I highly recommend these. If your fingers are of a more normal length, you might want to size up. However, if you have very long fingers (pinky to thumb length can extend a bit beyond an octave on a piano), these likely will not work for you, no matter what size you buy.

    Another Great Cold Weather Mitt

I go outside no matter what the temperature for exercise. My Outdoor Research mitts are my go to when it's REALLY cold (below -30C). These aren't quite as warm as my pair with liner mitts that are mitts. These are a glove within a mitt. Not quite as warm, but gives me a bit more dexterity. I love these mitts

    OR Mt. Baker Gore-Tex Mitts

Well designed mitts. Glove liners inside the mitts give you better dexterity and should be fabulous on cold ski days!

    Great glove

Fit well and the shell feels very solid. These should also be great with a lighter liner for ski touring and spring skiing. So far I have been warm in these but the winter hasn't been cold yet.

Great Dexterity - Not for Extreme Cold

The glove insert is comfortable and works well inside the mit external shell. There is a rubbery patch in the shell that the glove fingers grab and allows the mit to almost work like a glove (minus the fingers...). Insert comes out easily, but is secured with velcro patches when in place. A separate mit insert is available from OR as well or can also replace the glove insert if needed... a great feature saving one from having to purchase a whole new mit. The shell is not insulated and not comfortable to wear on its own. The OR Alti II mit shell is insulated and very comfortable with or without its mit insert. The Baker II mit/glove combo would be great for less cold conditions but not severe cold - and as mentioned, the shell doesn't really work on its own. Normally take a Medium size glove/mit. These fit small and the Large is closer to what most would consider a Medium. Extremely well built... I have a much older model that is still in good condition.

    Great mitts

Love the fit and feel of these mitts and the dual liner system. Have only used them in mildly cold temps so far and they worked great. I suspect they will keep my hands warm and dry on more frigid days as well. Can't speak to durability as I've only had them for 1 month, but the quality feels very solid as per Outdoor Research standards and I expect to have these for years to come. I'm excited to put these to the test in more extreme environments.

    Great!

Nice gloves. Fully waterproof. A little stiff at first but broke in nicely.
