I’ve used this once so far, got it as a backup when the power is out up north. It’s a very good kit that comes with everything but the fuel. I used Coleman camp fuel (Naphtha) and it worked great. The flame control is good and I had no issues regulating the flame. I only deducted 1 star because it’s a little loud. There are a few mods for sale online ~$50-80 but I dont know why these manufacturers dont just modify the stove to use a quieter flame design.
Fun to use and quick heating of water
Grandeur parfaite et très puissant
The threads were stripped where the pump attaches to the fuel bottle, sent it back, will be ordering another one. We have had this stove for 10 years and know it’s a quality item,
After airport security confiscated our Dragonfly I replaced it with this. It's a powerhouse stove with decent simmer capabilities. It's loud though, like a jet haha. Good for backpacking or car camping. We've used it for both.
This stove is the best. Well built & robust, best value for your dollar. I have a wide variety of models Naphtha gas and isobutane stoves in all the popular brands. Here you get a stove that simmers, and it is compatible with all the fuels including isobutane gas canisters, while the jets are conveniently stored in the leg. AND it comes with a bottle. Primus bottles are well built and better dollar value than the other brand. If I had to have a negative, it would be the storage bags are made too well. The bags that came with my stoves (yes, I have a variety of primus stoves) are all extremely well built, but too heavy for back packing, in my opinion. They are excellent for an ATV, snowmobile or canoe, but you will want to change to light weight bag if backpacking. Noisy? same as other stoves in this class, don't let that detour you. Testing against the other brands in boil times and fuel consumption are pretty much identical. Is the method of cleaning the jet an a point against this stove? I don't know, I burn clean fuel, I've never had to clean the jet.
This stove replaces a 20 year old stove that has fallen apart. It is a durable burner that fits compactly into my pack. It is high quality so I know it will last a long time. For that it was worth the price. I also love that it accommodates multiple fuel types so I can be more versatile finding replacement fuel when I run out while I am on the road and on a trip.
This package contains everything but fuel to get you going. Becoming less relevant compared to canister stoves, but still has its place in cold weather camping. I really liked the package aside from the excessively large bag. It is useless compared to the first generation 3288 model I have as well. Otherwise the items included including the windscreen are a nice touch to the package.
I bought it as my all-season camping stove, haven't tried it yet but the construction and weight are satisfying.
