  This tarp is lightweight and functions well. I have tested it in the backyard and it will be handy to bring on my trip to the backcountry!

  I use this when solo or UL thru camping. It's exactly what you need to cowboy camp in just your pad/bag in bad weather. It will not offer you anymore coverage however. Very light, and I haven't ripped it yet!

  Rab SilTarp 1 - First Impressions

  I was not disappointed by the product description before ordering. It is very light and compact and because of that, in my opinion, there is no excuse not to be packing this for your day hikes as part of your emergency kit. It is well built and the tie off points are webbing loops instead of grommets, as they should be. What was also surprising was the large number of tie off points including one at the apex or center. The semi-discreet branding is also a slick touch. Colour was true to description and finally, and another great feature ( but maybe not on purpose ? ) is the stuff sack has extra room and allows for plenty of thin cord for your tie offs ( in my case 9 ), line tensioners and a few more feet of extra cord.

  Nice and light. I love the bag it comes with. And love the loops in various it comes with to make set up so much easier. Great tarp.

  The color is perfect for blending in. It is just the right size for a wind break for the bivy. I own the 2p from the previous version and this one has thicker fabric. Happy I finally got this tarp.

  Je cherchais une bâche pas trop grande pour pouvoir me protéger rapidement et sans trop de complications en cas de pluie et, de plus étant légère c'est facile de la transporter dans un sac à dos. Je pense aussi l'apporter en hiver comme équipement de sécurité supplémentaire en cas de blessures lors de sorties en ski hors piste..

  Its perfect for a bivy setup or to make a gear cache for two. Im happy with it. Seems solid and is super light.
