La couleur et texture du cuir la fait vraiment ressortir du lot de ma collection de Redwing. Elle rehausse mes « outfit » et se marie avec plusieurs couleurs. La qualité est toujours au rendez-vous. Excellent service d’Altitude comme toujours.
Fits as sized
Sized down . 5 and ended up with a perfect fit. There is no insole aside from the leather foot bed, so anyone who needs extra support will have to shop for an insert. Fit and finish are brilliant, going through a break in period walking in the house to mold the form to my feet a little more. Not one word of a complaint, expect to have the rest of my life.
This is my second Iron Ranger. I always wanted a roughout leather boot, and really there is no other better boot available in the market in this price range. But sizing is always tricky. I have low volume feet, and wear 10 in casual sneakers (vans, stan smith etc) and 10. 5 in runners (saucony ride, hoka clifton, asics kayano etc). The previous Iron Ranger (8085) I had was in size 9, but was still a tad too big for me. As a result, it was never comfortable unless I wore really thick socks. I sized down further to 8. 5 in this 8083 and it fits perfectly! While the heel is hard as brick (my main complaint after the sizing issues), the boot still is comfortable enough for me to do 5km walks in after about a week's break-in period. They have started to darken nicely developing character. And let's be honest, there is no other boot with the classic Iron Ranger silhouette. I have boots much more expensive than this and much better in overall quality and construction, but nothing looks as good. And that's I keep returning to these.
Boot didnt come perfect but for the price I could not say nothing bad about the product. Will be in my rotation for a long time and happy I was able to get it!
These are top tier boots, they're very well made down to the paper with the name of the person inspecting it. The leather is thick, and it's breaking in very well. I used the measurements on Altitude which worked very well, the fit is dead on for me.
Love the Muleskinner leather. New stock. Manufacture date is 2025/05, seven months ago. I’m brannock 10E low arch. Need to size down. 8. 5D is too small. 9D is great fit. 9. 5D is good for adding insoles for cushioning.
Im a 9 on the brannock and on the wide end of D width. Usually wear 9. 5 in all other shoes. The 9D fits me well. Snug/tight at the widest part of my foot but not painful. There maybe 3/4 of an inch from the end of my longest toe to the end in the boot. But the ball of my foot sits just before the toe cap stitching and the shoe bends about there as well. The boots definitely need alot of breaking in before theyre truly comfortable. I thought they would be too big as everyone says 0. 5-1 size down. Would highly recommend trying on in store before purchasing.

True size, for this model, you need shoelace very tight, so half size bigger is essential
