    Favourite Shoes!

    I have worn X Ultra Mid (wide) 3, 4 and now 5. Still great! Not super wide but excellent for my feet. No break-in required, great grip in rough and varied terrain. Good even in the city walking, never had wet feet!

    Not a real wide fit

    The boots seem good however this isn't a real wide fit so we had to return them.

    Great Hikers

    I usually take a size 11 1/2. I'm glad I bought the wide width as they just fit right - regular width probably would have been very snug. The boots were stiff and have taken a few hikes to start breaking them in. A nice light boot that I'm looking forward to wearing on the East Coast Trail.

    Very good hiking boot!

    These boots deliver good stability, protection, overall ground feel and traction for daily hikes over various terrain and surfaces. Great boots for the east coast! stability, foot protection, overall ground feel and traction

    Not wide enough

    Boot felt protective and the length was TTS for me, but I found it was not wide enough despite being the wide size.

    Great Build, Almost Comfortable

    These are great hikers for people who have normal sized feet. Marked as wide, these are not wide. Salamon as a whole run very narrow, so their wide I guess hits the average width? I’m a true EE, and these were much too narrow. But very nice fit and finish, good grip. If they could make a true wide, then I’d wear.

    X Ultra 5 Mid GORE-TEX

    i have worn out at least 6 pair of x ultra 3 and 4. I am disappointed with the new 5's. The fit has become sloppy in the mid-foot. The shoe lacks the athletic feel of its predecessors:/

    Great light hiking boot

    I had the x ultra mid 4 last year and it has been amazing, the sole wore out (lots of mileage) but the rest of the boot stayed in great shape. So now I bought this updated version and it’s even a bit better Love it

    Love The Fit and The Quality!

    I have a hard time finding hiking shoes that fit well. I had just returned a pair of Keens size 13, because their wide version was too big. Saloman is one of the few companies that make 1/2 sizes above size 11, so I ordered 12. 5 and I am super happy with the fit. And man, are they light!
