    Note de 5 sur 5

    Parfait pour les chaudes nuits

Semblé un peu mince, mais solide quand même. Parfait pour les configurations ultra légères.

Good insurance for black fly season

Light enough to bring along without noticing it. A bit short to the ground but can still sit under it. Remains to be seen how long it will last

    Lightweight

I haven’t had a chance to test it out with mosquitos around but I set it up inside, the fabric is very delicate, it might be the same as the fabric used for the bug net over your head. It is easy to set up. I plan to use it with a cot or for dining.

    Bad news for bugs

I'm most excited to use this for bicycle touring - taking a break from riding without the hassle of biting and sucking bugs. I really enjoy being able to relax in buggy territory so this will be with me for outdoor excursions in general. Super light, packable, and am pleased with the build quality.

    Abri -zen

Permet de garder une certaine zénitude si trop de moustiques se pointe le nez!

    Small and light

Nice and light, perfect for an escape during bug season when deep in the backcountry. The single hang point makes it easy to set up below any tree. Wish they made a slightly wider one to better accomodate two people sitting though

    Moustiquaire

This can make the difference between enjoying the outdoors or being confined in a tent.

I have been a satisfied user of Sea to Summit since the 90's when the company began. I found their products to be so innovative that I wondered how other companies had missed understanding how outdoor products are used. I know that S&S products are more expensive than standard equipment but I have also learned that they are almost indestructible; they are lighter and stronger and warmer and everything else that you want in gear where your only source of comfort and safety is what you bring with you. We buy gear to enjoy the outdoors but many times we are forced to spend our time inside our tents because of the hordes of mosquitoes and other insects. The outdoor experience should not be like that. But on most canoe camping/backpacking trips, most of us cannot afford the weight of an extra screen shelter or the time to set it up and take it down daily. So what do we do? I have sat by the lake in a mosquito net outfit from head to toe trying to enjoy the peace and quiet. It doesn't work. Net clothing rests on the skin and insects bite through it. The clothing snags and tears easily. But most of us can afford to carry 5 oz of gear that will keep the bugs away while we can still enjoy a mosquito-free outdoor experience even in hot weather clothing that exposes much skin to mosquitoes.. I don't like mosquito nets made with standard mesh. The holes are so large that the mesh is seen continually by the user. That coarse mesh might keep mosquitoes out but not the "no-see-um's" found in many camping areas. Sea to Summit uses an ultra fine mesh that solves these problems. When we're camping, we don't want to spend 30 minutes setting up a screen shelter. This net is suspended by one cord from a tree branch or clothesline; the sides can be tucked under a mattress pad with the drawcord or be held down with weights at the corners. The only question is whether to buy the single or double. To me, there is only one choice, even for one person. The double, only $10 more than the single but almost twice as heavy as the single at 4.85 oz, is 22" wide at the top of the pyramid, instead of having a single peak. The double is 7" longer, 18" wider, and 9" higher. Even for a single person, the double is a much more comfortable choice. If weight is that much of a concern, I'd find something else to cut from my pack and "spend" an additional 1.95 oz on the double version of this pyramid net shelter instead of the single. You can read or sun bathe at the beach and enjoy leisurely meals and conversations in this pyramid shelter or retreat to your tent without one. The choice is simple. We bought 2 for a 4-person canoe camping trip. In the wilderness, you cannot eat in tents because the food aromas cling permanently to the tent and sleeping gear and attract bears. But you can eat in a net shelter free from bugs and leave that outside the tent with the kitchen gear. I don't even want to think of traveling without this piece of gear.
