  Excellent Base Layer Top

  I purchased the identical base layer top to this, for my husband, at least two years ago, and it and its crew neck companion are still his favorite go to tops for all occasions - comfortable, warm in cold weather, but also adaptable in moderate temperatures and easily dressed up or down. I am guessing this is generation two, possibly three, of his classic merino wool base layer top collection. Numerous washes later, the original shape, color, and fit are still retained. Excellent quality. Highly recommended.

  I have at least 5 1/4 zip sweaters from Smartwool in various weights. Each is perfect for their specific use. The all season ones are perfect weight when there is a chill in the air. I am certain I will buy more.

  I bought this as an everyday baselayer and it has been excellent so far. The merino wool feels really soft and high quality against the skin with no itch at all. It keeps me warm without overheating and breathes well when I am active. The fit is comfortable and easy to layer under a jacket or sweater. Overall a solid piece that feels durable and well made, exactly what I was hoping for.
