  Opening Too Small

  I have an older pair of the North Face men's urban style winter boots and I love them. The new boots I bought for winter hiking are very different. The tongue is sewn into the boot all the way up the inside sides of the boot. That makes the opening of the boot quite narrow and I was unable to get my toes even into the boot so I can't say the boot was too tight! I was very disappointed and had to return the boots. I can't see how they made a boot with such a small opening that you can't even get your toes into it.

  Decided on these after much research and they lived up to the hype/positive reviews. Boots were a gift to my brother who can be a tough sell nvm rough on his boots. He gave them 2 big thumbs up. (They only caveat is that I needed to buy a size larger than his usual boot size)

  Warm and comfortable

  As usual, they were stiff when I got them. But after a few days they became more soft, super comfortable and they have been keeping me warm since then.
