  This jacket is pretty warm. The only downside for me is the protection at the neck; the detachable hoodie design lets some cold air into your neck. Asides from that, the jacket is perfect.

  Decent jacket for the price. Not as warm as I would have liked, especially around the elbows. Jacket cuts the wind well though.

  Great warm, winter jacket

  Based on other advice, I bought the jacket one size lower than I would normally wear and it fits great. I'm 6' and 170lbs, the S fits me great. Really warm jacket, almost too warm on some winter days. Hoping to keep this for the long haul.

  McMurdo III Parka review

  I bought this parka over Boxing Day at a great price. Usually I’m a size M in most brands but after reading reviews online for this item that said it runs big I decided to buy a size S. I’m 5’9” and 150 pounds with an athletic build. I had also tried a size M in a retail store and found it slightly too large for my taste so I was hoping that S would fit perfectly. Unfortunately for me the size S didn’t fit that great either. The size in the body fit a lot better than the M but the arms were just a bit too short. They needed to be about an inch longer. Basically I needed the body size from the S and the arm length from the M. I ended up returning the item. I don’t want to dissuade people from buying this parka too much though because it’s a beautiful jacket. If you can get it at a discount and it fits YOU then go for it! It’s very warm and stylish and the pricing is on point. I’d just suggest trying it on in a retail store beforehand if possible.

  This is my first winter jacket and I don’t have much experience using them. This is a well built warm jacket. As many people mentioned here it runs big but keeps you warm. Over -5 this jacket feels too warm and you’ll probably sweat. It is more suited for very cold days. I’ve used it under -15 and was warm without too many layers. The zipper can be a little inconvenient but two way zipper helps if you want to sit down/ bike wearing this jacket. The hoodie is nice and warm. The built in face mask is great but it is only needed if it is too cold and windy. I wish they make it detachable from the hoodie because sitting on the back of the neck below hairline when I’m not using it makes me sweat a lot. I got it for 2/3rd of the original price so for the money paid I’m happy with the product quality which is why I didn’t return it as there are not many jackets that offer this level of warmth around this price. Will I buy it again for the full prize? May be if it’s true to size. The Khaki color looks great wearing around town.
