    nice pad only lacking support

packs down pretty small even in the wide size, comfortable with nice fabric top side. the ridged stratofoam core is warm and allows it to pack smaller than a solid foam core pad but the combination of the air/foam baffles and what feels like a thinner shell makes the pad feel a little more bouncy and compressible at pressure points than a solid foam core pad like the basecamp, xtherm and even venture. Regardless it’s roomy, comfortable and has a high r value for the size and price point compared to others.

Liked it so much I bought 2

I bought one and it was so comfortable I picked up another for my kid. Maybe not for the ultralight enthusiast, but great for canoe trips or situations where weight isn't an issue. Recommended!!

    Amazing Mattress Pad

I haven’t used them camping yet, but they look and feel amazing! Seems like really good quality that you would expect from Therm-a-Rest!

Excellent mat! Super comfy, and super light

I've brought it on a canoe trip and 2 camping trips so far and I love it! It's obviously not as compact (but it is still super light!) as a trail light mat, but I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of space for a lot of comfort. Highly recommend.

Excellent comfort, but shape is a little funny

I love this pad. I chose it after trying out a bunch of different options. The surface contours and material are very comfortable. I greatly prefer it to the air pads I've tried. It's also fairly easy to roll back up and get back into its stuff sack. Compared to the Sea to Summit self-inflating pads, this pads valve is fantastic. The surface comfort is slightly better. But, the shape just isn't as good. While technically a 25" wide pad, the internal foam actually is about an inch smaller on *both sides*. Sounds like a small thing, but it isn't. The Sea to Summit pads have a much better shape. This was a tough call for me, as width matters a lot for me. Ultimately, this pad won out for it's weight (helped by cutting out foam I'm sure), valve and surface. If Sea to Summit had a better valve, I would have probably gone the other way.

    Better that I thought

The Trail Pro isn't the lightest or smallest pac, but it is comfortable and warm. I found it to be most comfortable when it inflated itself without any help from me.The first night I used it I thought it was a little limp looking so I firmed it up with a few breaths and was a little uncomfortable that night, the second night I opened the valve and allowed it to normalize and slept with no discomfort. It is plenty warm for 3 season camping.
