A Polar Ranger For Warm Weather
I have a Polar Ranger for winter camping (which was my first purchase from Altitude Sports) and love the arm zips. I immediately got interested in the Boost 650 when I found that it inherited the arm zips from the Polar Ranger -- a feature that I truly love at night when I want to read or watch a movie on my tablet in the tent. I purchased the Regular-Wide version and after using it in late autumn weather, I wish that I had gotten the regular width. Even with the expansion zipper zipped up, there is too much wasted space that sucks the warmth out of your body. I'd only get the wide version if your body girth makes it desirable. I'm looking forward to trying this sleeping bag out in the warmer months when I think it will shine: there is so much room to move in and you can ventilate via the arm zips. The zippers don't snag very easily -- one of my better bags for this. My only complaint is that I find the the down has a tendency to "bleed" more than other down bags.
