  For a 30L bag, it doesn't have enough depth and takes lots of space, almost as much as a 40L backpack so not sure what's the rationale behind this design choice. Very premium materials though, feels very very sturdy.

  Great Form Factor, but Finicky

  Construction is excellent it would appear, although the outer fabric seems a bit light on the Denier count. Designed for burly travel so presumably fabrics chosen to suit the task, just seems a bit light weight. Time will tell. Too many pockets for passport/cell phone type items, and not sure how easy to pack and unpack on the move with toddlers in tow. Time will again. All in all Mountainsmith-esque sort of piece but with better color schemes.

  Good personal item for airplane travel and very versatile

  I bought this bag as my "personal item" for flights. It's a functional and well-designed bag for travel and also very versatile. I love that it has hip straps - which allows one to use it to carry heavier loads for longer periods of time. They are removable which is a bonus so they don't get in your way if you don't need them or are using the bag in briefcase mode. The backpack straps also can be hidden away into a zippered compartment at the back. I love the assortment of pockets and that they can be opened all the way around. The zipper is easy to use and not stiff like on some other square shaped bags, yet the bag keeps its shape. The side zipper for laptop/ipad is also great for going through security. There are a couple of things that I wish I could change about it. For starters, it's technically 2" too tall and a little too fat for the personal item limit. As long as you don't stuff it full and leave the top couple of inches empty, then it passes. I actually had to demonstrate that it could fit in one of those bag size checker boxes at the airport, and was able to stuff it in and it passed. The other thing is that the luggage strap at the back is sideways, such that if you have a waterbottle in the sidepocket while carrying the backpack on a suitcase, then the waterbottle is sideways and falls out sometimes. I wish the strap was vertical so that the backpack could be upright when attached to a suitcase. I guess it's designed to be in briefcase mode for that strap to be useful. I got the blue/yellow colour and it's nice, but in retrospect I think a muted colour would have made it more versatile.

  Amazing travel bag!

  This bag is perfect for travelling. It is large and has quite a few pockets. The material is tough nylon. It has YYK zippers that work smoothly. Ibwould recommend this bag for travelling.
