The first generation of 66°North down outerwear inspires a shortened version of the Tindur Down Jacket, finished with archive patches referencing the original designs.
This year 66°North marks 100 years alongside the Icelandic nation. To celebrate, 66°North has created a capsule collection celebrating 10 styles – 10 decades. The Tindur Short Down Jacket is crafted from WINDSTOPPER fabric by GORE-TEX LABS, a windproof, breathable and water-repellent fabric, and insulated with 800-fill white duck down for exceptional warmth. This version is 12.5 cm shorter than the original Tindur, offering greater versatility for everyday wear. Large flap chest pockets reference the Everest expedition overall that inspired the original design, while archive patches revive heritage logos from the 66°North archive. The jacket features a baffle construction with internal walls that help keep the down evenly distributed. The stitching does not penetrate the outer shell, helping retain warmth and allowing the jacket to heat up quickly with movement.
