It’s a good jacket but I returned from the field few months after buying and passed the return period. Found that it was just too big and can’t return big. The chat isn’t that accurate.
Super manteau, chaud et parfait pour la ville.
Good Parka,ture size
Was a gift very happy with my purchase
Clean understated design. Comfortable with generous amount of down. Offers warmth and substantial protection from rain/wind/snow. Slightly on the boxier side but not too bulky; just adapted for layering. 6'4" 205 lbs athletic. Size Large size fits nicely.
Best city parka
I have both the Thorsen and Therme jackets for 6 months now. I stand 5' 8" with an average 150lb build. First, the outside material of the jacket is good but feels significantly more rough than the Thorsen. In my experience, they both bead water pretty much the same. However, the thorsen jacket just feels like a higher quality product. Secondly, the buttons are a little different. The therma parka's snap buttons are a little harder to snap into place, whereas the thorsen's buttons snaps easily and feel high quality. The zippers are also a little different. Both are black and made of metal but the pull tab is slightly different on both models. However, there is no functional difference. The inside of the hand pockets is also very different. The therme's pockets are much rougher due to the material of the jacket. Only half of the pocket has the Goretex fabric, the other half has an almost fleece feeling fabric inside. The thorsen parka has a much less rough fabric. The therme's material in the pocket seems like it may pill quicker than the thorsen. Finally, the chest pocket. This is the only pocket where both sides are lined in the same material. But it is again, also lined with the rough fleece-like fabric. The thorsen's chest pocket is hidden and feels like its made of a microfiber cloth material. In terms of warmth, undoubtedly the therme is a warm jacket, but not as warm as the thorsen, due to begin slightly shorter. The therme is 3 inches or 7.5cm shorter than the thorsen. Since both jackets are filled with down, I feel obligated to mention, that since buying both these jackets and wearing them every day with so mild abuse, both jacket have not lost a single piece of down yet! I've worm both of these jackets in the cold and prefer the thorsen in every way. However, the therme jacket is cheaper but does most of the same functions as the thorsen. The jacket looks great on those that are a little on the shorter side. My dad is 5' 4" and this jacket looks perfect on him. If you were on a tighter budget, this would be a fantastic jacket. If you could save a little more and are a taller person (>5' 6"), I would buy the Thorsen. Both jackets are great and will likely last a long time.
Bought in December last year and worn for the first season. I am telling you that this is a very warm parka even when the temp drops 20 degrees below zero. High quality material, waterproof, and good design. Overall it all worth the money. Remember, you get what you pay for. I love it.
Jacket is a good length for a tall person and very warm.
