  Excellent speed shoes

  Big fan of these, they are extremely fun and comfortable to run in, well-designed, and I feel *fast!*. My only gripe is that they do seem to run about 1/2 size small - I have the 7. 5 in the magic speed 2 but definitely need an 8 in these (and sadly, I can't return them even with fewer than 40 km on them :( )

  Good for speed work -- had to size up

  I had to size up from my usual 11. 5 to 12, but have since been enjoying them for tempo runs and speed work, and would consider them for races up to the half marathon distance.

  I’ve been running in the ASICS Magic Speed 5 for a mix of workouts and longer efforts, and it’s quickly become one of my go-to shoes in the rotation. A highly versatile plated trainer that delivers speed without sacrificing control or comfort. Great option if you want one shoe to handle both workouts and race efforts.
