  I’ve only tried them for a few short runs. They are light but for me could be a little wider mid-foot.

  I decided to try Asics' Novablast 5 after years of running in a different brand of shoe, and have been really pleased with my choice. Right away, I noticed how light they feel and the springiness of the cushion—something that I’d been missing in my previous shoes. After a few weeks of running in the Novablast 5—everything from interval workouts and tempo runs to a half marathon distance—I can say these shoes feel great and allow my feet and legs to keep on running comfortably. I’m a 67-year-old woman and need a lot of cushioning in my running shoes, so the Novablast 5 is perfect for me. I got the Wide version as I have bunions, and the fit in the toe box is great. So happy to have discovered this shoe.
