  Best Backcountry Radios!

  07/14/26

This radio has gone on every backcountry touring adventure with me last winter. Such a simple but effective piece of gear. My partners and I have all the same channel presets and can easily switch to the right one. Never had a problem communicating in the mountains. I love that the main radio goes in your pack and the mic can be attached on your backpack's shoulder strap. No fuss, just a great piece of gear that is durable. Good battery life in the cold too!

  Excellent produit

Like the product but ordered 2 of them and one was damaged upon arrival. All good as got warranty covered and they covered freight on return

  Perfect for backcountry comms

These are a necessity if you’re sledding but also useful for ski touring and other backcountry adventures. Works as intended, although I recommend getting a vent kit for over the speaker/microphone area to keep out snow and dirt; it would be great if Altitude sold these as well.

  Not bad at all.

Work great but not the most practical. Also a bit tricky to connect the two pieces and appears like an obvious place for a broken connector.
