  Biolite Firepit+

  This is a great item to have for times when a firepit is not available (or contaminated) and if regulations allow for open flame wood sourced fires. The quality seems sturdy, the legs fold for a more compact package and the rechargeable battery/fan make firestarting easy with very little smoke. I have not used the charcoal feature as of yet but the wood fire is great for smores, hotdogs and foiled potatoes. The mesh side panels make for a great nighttime fire view.

  This is my 2nd unit as original firepit battery died

  I wish I didn't need to purchase a new one as there is no OEM replacement battery for the original firepit (not + model). I've already purchased a few other accessories like the solar cover, fire poker and mat so I figured I'd replace the entire unit for half the price of what an equivalent battery would be. It's an expensive lesson but I've learned not to leave the battery to discharge fully for more than 6 months. Overall a great firepit!

  Good concept, but smaller than I expect, and Micro-USB?

  I am surprised this charges with Micro-USB, I thought we all decided to go all in on USB-C. Capacity on this stove is less than I expected, a few sticks is all it will hold. Otherwise, once the fire is going, it does a good job of keeping smoke to a minimum. Little rusty in spots after the first use and was left outside overnight (morning dew must have got it). Overall, a neat idea, but it might be time the design to see some updates (and more stainless steel).

  Shockingly fun and handy

  Whether you’re camping ‘leave no trace’, out on a beach, or just in the backyard, this pit is an awesome alternative to traditional fire pits and when your wood is a little on the wet side (as is so often the case at least in Ontario provincial parks) the fan helps oxygenate the fire to help it burn better. Really cool product!

  Great Firepit!

  You know when you're distracted and your fire gets low and you have to blow and blow and blow to get it back? No more with the firepit! The airflow from the fan keeps the fire alive for you. Even the last embers are aflame due to the constant airflow. Really enjoying our BioLite FirePit+.

  Nous avons du patienter avant de l’utiliser puisqu’il est arrivé endommagé. Je recommande l’achat de la plaque de cuisson pour le rendre encore plus polyvalent. C’est magique pour allumer du charbon de bois et cuisson pour une petite famille. Fonctionne bien si le bois a brûler est jeune. Plus de fumée que j’espérais, quoi que semble en effet être moindre qu’avec un feu régulier. Malgré tout, on ne l’a jamais dans le visage, elle semble aller vers le haut seulement. Se transporte bien avec le sac conçu à cet effet. Malheureusement n’était pas disponible chez Altitude au moment de mon achat.
