I’ve owned Notion shorts for several years, but first time buying this version. Looks like they are an inch or so shorter than previous versions and for some reason they eliminated the extra zip pocket, which was handy (those are my 2 reasons for knocking off a star). I do like the new interior liner that holds the cinch strap on the inside now. But overall comfort, build and quality is still excellent!

Black Diamond has made some changes to the cut of these shorts from previous years. I have a few pair of the notion shorts from previous years, I love them. This year they have a shorter inseam, which is fine, but they also flare out making them look almost like bell-bottom shorts. Very disappointed in how they looked, returned the shorts.

Not dressy by any means, these shorts are what you will want to pull on every Saturday morning. Soft and stretchy, super versatile. They are sized generously so check the sizing chart carefully. I have an older pair that get worn all summer long and they are holding up great. Hopefully this pair does the same.

Great color, fabric, and construction but the large was bigger in the waist than I was expecting. I'll need to get a size down.

I own a few pair of notion pants and these shorts are just as versatile as the pants and the fit is the same. The elastic waist band is comfortable. The stretchy fabric makes it good for active wear as well as everyday wear. The pockets are good size too.

I have the Notion pants from a few years back so thought I’d try the shorts also. Very glad I did. Very comfortable shorts (not too long), well made and not too sporty. A versatile pair of shorts; so much so I ended up buying two colours. Very happy with the purchases.
