Bought for my husband to walk the dog. The jacket fits on the bigger side, but not in a way that you would want to size down. It allows for a sweatshirt or heavy sweater without being too tight. Great for cold weather dog walking and standing in a cold rink. My husband is 6' and around 255lbs and I purchased an XL.
Jacket is large enough to fit another layer easily. I would say a little bit large but not much. the RED is nice.
Fit well for an over 50 man. Looks great. Light weight. Does not replace a big winter storm jacket but fabulous in car, doing errands and winter activity such as walking & cross country skiing

Decent jacket for Fall and early winter.
For the use we needed it for, it was thin so we returned it. The medium was slightly big so I think it runs large.
The jacket is really warm and nice looking but ... not really water reppellent wich is a shame
I bought this mainly because I felt the deep purple colour was pretty unique. I liked everything about the jacket except 2 small things: - the lining on the sleeves versus the body was different, they have their 3D silver lining on the body and not the sleeves. The regular silver lining (sleeves) has a much nicer feel and I would have preferred it throughout - Columbia in general fits a bit big and the brand is for men who are slightly larger around the waist in general, so on me it was a bit bulky in the waist/torso area but the sleeves fit (so its more a classic fit than athletic fit which I prefer in clothes). So if you don't care about those 2 things, it was a good quality jacket especially for the price, and a unique colour. Fits 1/2 size large in my opinion, but sleeve length is average.
