  Pros and cons

  Pros: 1. It worked well for a 0 to -5 C Montreal run 2. Pockets for keys and some $ are just the right size 3. I like the way it can close around my neck snugly 4. Solid wind protection in the front when outside T -5 to 0 degrees C. Cons 1. The zippers are small and flimsy: I strongly doubt that they will last more than 6 months: This for me makes this jacket a hard "no" for future purchases and I would return this jacket if I could (I cannot cause I already ran in it). 2. This is touted as a "great choice for winter runners." Maybe for running in European winters yes, but in Montreal winters?? I tried it yesterday with 250 weight merino base layers, wool hat and gloves in Montreal with the ambient temp at -10C with windchill to -17C. I found it REALLY cold and a no-go for this level of cold and turned around to change it out for the same L.L. Bean light insulated jacket that I have been using for the last 30 years to run in during winter with all zippers working perfectly.

  Great cross country ski jacket, or winter running

  On two hour cross country ski, the jacket provided warmth at the beginning and was able to open zipper when I got hot. Slightly loose fitting, which is good for swinging my arms during skiing.
