So compact , easily fits in my camp kitchen box for car camping! Running on Butane , works pretty well except when it is really windy or in cooler temperatures. If you have a wind screen it will solve one problem, but you may need to switch to another stove with different fuel if the temperature gets lower than about 5○ C.

Great for car camping
This stove works as expected and is great for saving some space in the car when camping. It is pretty heavy though and could be a bit smoother when putting away because the folding parts tend to get stuck and need a little force to close.

Affordable Alternative to Premium Brands – Great Value, with Some Limitations
The Selkirk 270 Butane Stove is a solid budget-friendly alternative to the Snow Peak GS600 — it shares a very similar design but comes at about half the price. It’s lightweight, compact, and great for general camping or car camping use in mild to warm weather.
One key difference is that it lacks the copper heat sink found in the GS600, which helps warm up the gas canister. Because of that, cold-weather performance may be limited, especially if temperatures drop below freezing — expect slower boil times or inconsistent flames in those conditions.
Still, for the price, it offers excellent value and gets the job done in most 3-season environments. Ideal for campers looking for a cost-effective, simple butane stove for casual trips.
