  Bought these for a bike trip where we went off trail and did some daytime hiking but also city exploring and they were perfect. The sole is stiff enough to be good for biking. There is good tread at the bottom, which makes it good for hiking but it is still good for walking around paved streets. Very stable shoe. Also appreciate the gore-tex layer which did have some water resistance and was helpful while biking on a rainy day.

  Did not like it, had to return it

  I have been wearing Hoka shoes for many years, but for some reason the Challenger 8 does not like my feet, or vice versa. I had a pressure point on the top of my right foot almost immediately, and adjusting the laces and even changing the socks I was wearing did not help. It just wasn’t comfortable.

  Good Trail Shoe

  Good shoe if you have a typical size and shaped foot and toe box. These were not wide enough in the toe box even in the wide size. These did not hug my heels quite right. I have duck feet so it's hard to find a goretex wide trail runner that fits properly.

  Size up if you are used to Hoka

  Good fit, I had to size up. I usually wear a size 7. 5 Wide in my clfton 9 and my Solimar, but for these I had to size up to 8wide but unfortunately they did not have it. Consider that Gore-tex can be warmer during summer time. I will order non gore-tex to havec them in size 8 wide.

  Très confortables et légers. Un peu trop larges. Le modèle régulier est assez large
