    Extremely comfortable do-it-all shoe

I was hesitant to get these after reading a lot of comments about the fit. I'm glad I did though. When I first tried them on, the fit seemed very tight: there's little give in the last due to the tough gtx and cordura and the toebox isn't the most generous; however, after wearing them around the house for a few hours, the footbed conformed to my foot shape, sunk down a bit and created the space I needed to feel comfortable in these. They're very comfortable walking around now and perform excellently in wet weather. These feel more stable and firm compared to the Clifton but in a really good way. Fit true to size (I'm a 13 in most shoes and 13s in these fit well) although this is definitely on the narrower side of fits. I really like the quick laces as well. Highly recommend. Big takeaway: if at first the fit seems really tight, walk around for a bit and let the footbed work its magic before deciding.

    Nice Shoes, But. . .

I'm sure these are great for many people, but they're too cushiony for me.

    Great all-round WP shoe

Bought these for all-round use: hikes, walks, and casual wear and they have proven to be great for all of this. They are also attractive to wear anywhere. My hikes and walks, even just across the lawn in the morning, often involve wet surfaces and it's nice to keep your socks dry.

    Not recommended

After hearing so many positive reviews for hokas I gave these and a pair of bondi 8s a try. I paid the extra $40 for these waterproof versions. Not sure if water somehow got into them but less than one year later they were making a squeaking sound with every step and in both shoes. Was told that did not fall into a manufacturers fault eligible for return or refund. Now the bottom sole is coming apart as well. They will be going in the trash. The bondi 8s had their own problems as well and were successfully returned but I won’t give hokas another try. Not being cheap either, I would not recommend them for only getting a years worth of use at the price I paid. Used them as a day to day shoe and not every day and never in the snow. Most often going to and from work and then changing into other shoes to work in.

    Great Travel Shoes

Since they are all black, I can get away with these in most restaurants. Great support when exploring new cities. Using these, I can pack one less pair of shoes when traveling.

    Niche item

I found the elastic laces useful. They include regular laces too, which is nice if you want to switch them. The Vibram sole is grippy but I wouldn't recommend using this shoe for hiking as it advertises. I found the GTX to be too hot, so this shoe is better for winter or fall. Maybe the non-GTX version isn't as hot.
