  Not for me

  Some good shoe qualities here, but too narrow width and too little room at openings for getting my average 7.5 foot into them. Plenty of length and toe room though.

  Fit not the same as Speedgoat 5 GTX.

  I have a pair of Speedgoat 5 GTX that I have used for jogging in winter, site-seeing, trail walking. With orthotics replacing the insole, they have been great. I ordered the same size of Speedgoat 7 GTX. They look great. But the fit was not the same as the 5. Inside seemed tighter and shorter. Even half size larger was a bit bit tight on the broadest part of my foot. So I returned both sizes of HOKAs and went to a retail store, and tried on a bunch of shoes, and finally chose a GTX trail shoe by ASICS, for comfort, even though the sole is not vibram but something else for trails.

  Not quite like previous versions

  I found them to be a tight fit. I bought a 9 which is my usual size (half size up from casual shoes) plus I owned a previous version of these and the 9 was perfect. The shoe is also very stiff, much more so than previous versions. I returned it because I couldn't see it being comfortable for hiking even if I sized up further. It is a nice looking shoe and comes with an extra pair of regular shoe laces so you can switch them out.

  Hoka is the only shoe I run in!

  stoked to wear these and trail run in them. They fit accurately for me and are sooo comfy. Also gortex- havent tested them yet but my old ones also were and it was great.

  Great Trail Shoes

  I was unsure at first as I have never bought a trail shoe from Hoka. I was pleasantly surprised. They are truly waterproof, I was able to step in puddles and be out in the rain for a few hours and my feet stayed dry! They are very comfortable and the cushion is great. Love the lacing system and I like that they give you an option for regular laces also! The sole is grippy and I didn’t have an issue on wet rocks while running/hiking. Great shoe all around. Will see how it wears over time.

  love em! great-looking, super comfy & lightweight, and i love the lacing system. the patterns are less loud in person / daylight
