From the picture, it’s difficult to tell what fabric that is made of. It feels like a thick Lycra that has a smooth face and plenty of stretch. I have a very small head (50 cm) and the hat fits tight on me. I’m sure it stretches out for larger heads, but if your head’s circumference is above average, I suspect that it would feel too tight and that you might be best with another model. If fits great under a bike helmet, and breaths well.

I ordered 2 Karpos caps. This black cap and the blue Italia cap. The black cap is made in Romania and the blue one is made in Italy. Very good quality synthetic fabric. The material is skin tight and thin, but it is remarkably warm. You are warm and do not sweat. These are men’s caps, but I bought them for my 7 year son who plays non-stop outdoors. His hair is usually dripping in sweat with traditional snow hats, but not with these race caps. They are wonderful and worth every penny. I highly recommend these caps for any outdoor activity. They are warm even in -10 degrees weather (as long as you are active).
