    Easy

Good water flow. Easy to clean. About as simple as it gets. I do add an aquatab to my Nalgene bottle for virus protection I trust the Katadyn brand and also own the Pocket as well as the Katadyn Explorer Pro (for prepping purposes).

    Pre-soak filter

I've used this filter for several years now on hiking and paddling trips. Once the filter has dried it takes a while to start filtering on future trips. You should soak the filter for 24 hours before your trip after the first trip. Not a bad idea to run a bag through to check flow rate before hitting the backcountry.

    Perfect size and water flow

I have the be free water bottle and love the flow rate. This is the next best thing for trips with multiple people and/or where the water source is further from camp. Love the hose feature too and the strap to hang from a branch. Everything comes apart easy to clean too! Comes with a nice travel bag and helpful instructions.

Excellent filter for back country camping

Excellent filter for back country camping. Easy to use and easy to clean. Make sure to dry out before storing when not in use.

Such a good filter (and great service from Altitude)

I bought this filter in 2024 after having used my friend's on a trip - sure beat the hand pump. The first trip using it, my daughter lost the hose and bottom attachment to the lake :( I bought a replacement in summer 2024, and didn't get to use it till my first trip summer 2025. Out in the canoe, filled the bag up, and the straps came undone on one side. I hadn't looked at it closely before using for the first time, and it was a manufacturing defect with the stitching. I thought I was out of luck since it had been a year since I purchased it. Contacted Altitude, and it was still under warranty, so it was replaced at no charge. Taking the 3rd one out on trip in two weeks - wish me luck ;) But the bag filters fast, is easy to clean, easy to use and easy to store. 10/10.

    As it should be

The system runs as it should. It is the older style filter- without the charcoal filter- as expected. But the new one could fit in. Works well. had to change out the bag that the tube came in as the plastic broke but does not change the function.

Brilliant option for travel near and far

This is at home in the Canadian alpine and anywhere else you need clean, safe water. It isn't fast, but as a camp filter it does the trick. I can tell it would bog down quickly if you are filtering swamp water. I bigger Katadyn filter might be better for that.

    Does the job well

Good water flow, good set up. Just be careful to roll the bag a couple of times when the bag is full, so that the water doesn’t spill out easily

    Water on demand

This water filter has changed our camping game. Fill this up and you have water on demand whenever you want and it's so easy to fill up. Only reason this review is not 5 stars is because the filter clogs up often and the water takes a long time to flow out.

    Good filter for small group

Gravity filter beats pumping water for a group. Straight forward design. Haven't used much yet, so I can't speak to the filters longevity
