I bought this as an added level of protection while traveling. We were recently on vacation and somebody tried to steal our bikes off of our rack. They easily cut through our Abus city chain but couldn't get through our Kryptonite chain. I will only be purchasing Kryptonite locks now.
Works great securing my electric scooter
Le meilleur cadenas sur le marche en terme de sécurité. Je n'ai plus peur de laisser mon vélo de roue dehors à Montréal!
Great lock and easy to use. This lock comes with insurance for 1 year through kryptonite. Extra length is useful when locking the rear wheel and frame to the lock post.
The extra length is worth it when you have an awkward area to lock into or want to lock together 2 bikes. For the price , probably the best you can do… not getting cut or picked other than with an angle grinder or bigger tool…
Best quality lock, the one downside is that it does not come with an attachement for your frame, you need to find other ways to carry it around.
Only reason giving 4 stars is because it took forever to get here and I had to call multiple times asking where my package was and was always given little information.
Recently got a fat tire e-mountain bike and needed a tough lock to secure it. Although heavy (which is expected) it sure makes me feel safe to lock my bike. Plus I needed the extra room to fit through the frame and fat tire. Also I love the light on the key, very handy. Plus there’s an offer from Kryptonite to register your bike for theft to be rewarded in case of someone breaking your lock and stealing your bike. So I feel double safe. Worth the money!
Product is great, fast to secure and very high quality.
Lock is perfect for the ebike and came quickly.
