We dropped a 1L stainless steel wide-mouth bottle, breaking the cap. The only replacement that could fit was one we repurposed from an old 1L hard-sided Nalgene with a secured wide cap (difficult to take off btw, only succeeded by warming the ring with hot water). Bought this MSR 3-in-1 for the Nalgene: it FIT PERFECTLY + with UPGRADED FEATURES! Was concerned that it would be hard drinking through the flip-top nozzle since this was not a squeeze bottle, but experienced no problems at all. So much more convenient than having to unscrew the large cap to drink! The medium cap provides a quicker/controlled flow rate for drinking/pouring, but the thin string that keeps it attached to the cap gets caught easily when unscrewing so need to be careful of this. Large cap works fine, but doesn't have any attachment to the bottle as the OEM Nalgene cap does, so took some getting used to (would drop the cap, thankfully causing no damage but will figure out a way to keep it tied to the bottle for the future). So happy this worked out instead of having to discard an old bottle, thanks to the MSR 3-in-1 cap being a good replacement with improved convenience.

I would love to review the product but it was stolen due to irresponsible delivery decisions made by Expedigo, altitude sports delivery partner. Last time i ordered from altitude sports, it was a 1200$ delivery value and it was let downstairs, not even at my door, at everyone’s sight. I had to leave work in the middle of the day to go ald recover it. Fortunately, it wasn’t stolen. Altitude sport opened an investigation… i really don’t what there is to investigate.. the « proof of delivery » is the proof it wasn’t safely delivered…

Super addition à ma Nalgene! Il me permet de boire beaucoup plus facilement en voiture et à vélo sans devoir m'arrêter. Il est parfaitement étanche sauf lorsqu'on l'expose à des changements de température soudains.

Purchased this cap to fix a slow leak on an older version of the 4L MSR Bag. The large (main) cap is a perfect fit and the mid size pouring cap is a larger diameter than the old one and much easier to seal with the 'wings' on the side. My only wish is for MSR to come up with a 'Platypus' size cap for the bag so it would fit the Platypus gravity filter without having to cary the adapter piece. Otherwise, a much better cap - and nice bonus that it also fits the Nalgen wide mouth!

The 3-in-1 cap is a great idea -- which is why I bought this in the first place. I was thinking that I could expand the usability of my Nalgene bottles with this cap. This product's usability is really 2-in-1 in athat regard. The small orifice that can be pushed up 90 degrees is possibly useful with an MSR dromedary but not much else. The other smaller cap that one can unscrew to drink from is useful but the string that attaches it to the main cap is flimsy and gets in the way. Overall, the product is what is stated but I find that it is so awkward that it won't get used by me other than as a 2-in-1 at the most.

This cap is definitely an upgrade from my original caps, 2 of which had begun to leak after 10 years of use. The caps is robust and, like the older model, allows for both slow dispensing, drinking and filling. It fits large opening Nalgene bottles too, a bonus.

J'ai acheté ce couvercle parce que j'ai perdu le petit bouchon. En déballant le couvercle j'ai été heureuse de voir que le nouveau modèle avait ajouté une corde pour tenir le bouchon attaché au couvercle mais cette corde est trop courte et rend la fermeture du bouchon difficile, il faudra la changer.

Excellent water pouring control-Fits Nalgene bottles Fits the threads on Large Wide Mouth Nalgene and compatibility bottles. Fits Bladder water bags that have the Wide Mouth Threads. The smaller cap comes off and attaches to bladder bag hydration/hose drinking kits. Please note......older MSR Hydration kits don't fit and need a free adapter that you can get from MSR customer service. New MSR Hydration kits fit the smaller cap threads perfectly. Great option for drinking and camp cooking needs for controlled water pouring. Great cap option.
